Whole Foods Market, Inc. owns and operates a chain of natural and organic foods supermarkets in the United States. Whole Foods Market has a product selection of perishable foods and most of its products are from natural food vendors. Whole Foods Market sells a limited selection of conventional national brands as well. The company's product selections include produce, seafood, meat and poultry, grocery, bakery, prepared foods and catering, beer, wine and cheese, floral, whole body--nutritional supplements, vitamins, body care and educational products (books), pet products and household products. During the fiscal year ended 2005, Whole Foods Market operated 175 stores, 165 stores in the United States and Washington, D.C., three stores in Canada, and seven stores in the United Kingdom.
